What a busy and wonderful week!

Students are enjoying swimming! Because of our cancelled lesson this week, we rescheduled a new swimming date on Thursday, Oct 3. Please let me know if you can volunteer on that day, by writing a note in your child’s agenda. We leave the school at 10:55 am. We swim next week: Sept 30, Oct 1, Oct 2, and Oct 3. Our annual Terry Fox run was this morning.  We read a book about Terry Fox and had a good discussion about his goals and purpose. The students had many questions about cancer and cancer research, many sharing about the impact of cancer on their own families and lives. The purpose of this conference is to share home information about your child, as well as learning styles and academic goals for the year. I am looking forward to seeing you!

Forms, Forms, Forms!

Good Morning! This is a quick update to let you know that the package of school forms are coming home with your child today.  Please read and complete these as soon as possible.  Swimming forms are just being completed to be sent home to you.  Our class has swimming lessons from 11:20-12:00.  We will be leaving the school at 10:50 to walk to Killarney Pool and we should be back at school for 12:30.  September 24, 25, 26, 30 and October 1 and 2 are our swimming dates.  Multiple volunteers are needed to join us on each of these dates .  If you are able to volunteer, please let me know via a message in your child's agenda.

Welcome to the Room 2 Blog!

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!  We are off to a great start in Room 2.  We have been spending time getting to know each other and working to adjust to the routines of grade 1/2. Student agendas were sent home today.  Please sign and return the agenda every day.  The agenda is a great place to communicate things that may impact your child's day, such as an early pick up or an appointment. I look forward to meeting you at conferences.
