Parent-Teacher Conferences



I am looking forward to meeting you at parent/teacher conferences on the evening of Thursday, September 19 or the morning of Friday, September 20.  Appointments can be booked through the link on our school website.
The purpose of this conference is to share home information about your child, as well as learning styles and academic goals for the year.

January Report Cards We certainly hope that report card celebrations are going on this weekend.  Students have worked very hard and should be proud of the work they have done. Science We are exploring the concepts of “Hot and Cold” during our science learning time. Reading a thermometer and comparing temperatures has been part of our learning goals this past week. We will be moving into inquiry experiences where the students will learn how and when temperatures change.  Social Studies We are looking how Calgary has changed over time. We are hearing stories and learning about how missionaries and the N.W.M.P. began to build the city we now know  Mathletics We are practicing addition strategies and learning the place value of numbers. Hi Everyone, We miss you!  We just wanted to check in to let you know that we are thinking of you and hoping that you are all safe. These are unsettling times, and we are sure that some of you are feeling overwhelmed. We have been at school this week and we promise you, it isn't the same without you all here.  It’s very quiet!  Tomorrow is the first day of Spring Break, please enjoy the time with your families. Get outside for some fresh air, eat well, and have a good night’s sleep! Read a good book! Learn a new board game!  Thank you for the letters and emails so far. Note Regarding Tasty Tuesday Lunch on February 11, 2020: Due to our field trip on February 11, students will be missing the Tasty Tuesday hot lunch.  I’m sending my utmost apologies as I realized too late for a bagged lunch to be provided for those students.  Would you please send a lunch with your child for the field trip, and we will reheat the Tasty Tuesday lunch and serve it to students on Wednesday, February 12.  Thank you so much for your understanding. Valentine Exchange: We will be exchanging valentines with each other on Wednesday, February 12.  A class list was sent home with each student today. It would be really nice if students personally addressed each card (This would also be great copying practice for students who struggle with this skill).
