January Report Cards We certainly hope that report card celebrations are going on this weekend.  Students have worked very hard and should be proud of the work they have done. Science We are exploring the concepts of “Hot and Cold” during our science learning time. Reading a thermometer and comparing temperatures has been part of our learning goals this past week. We will be moving into inquiry experiences where the students will learn how and when temperatures change.  Social Studies We are looking how Calgary has changed over time. We are hearing stories and learning about how missionaries and the N.W.M.P. began to build the city we now know  Mathletics We are practicing addition strategies and learning the place value of numbers. Heritage Park field trip fee has been added on to MyCBE / PowerSchool so it is now possible to pay the field trip fee online.  We are also happy to accept cheques or cash if that works better for you.   *Just a note about the $15 field trip fee:  This fee covers all of the field trips that you read about on the form, not only our field trip to Heritage Park.  We would greatly appreciate if you would pay the fee, even if your child is unable to join us on February 11th or 20th.
